The tensioner for strapping XW-20 is a manual tool built for polyester fibre and flexible (composite/corded) strap in widths from 13 mm to 50 mm. If your packing stations sit away from compressed air lines, or your loads move between buildings and yards where no mains socket is available, a manual tensioner lets you strap wherever the work is.
What happens without a tensioner for strapping
Textile and composite straps must be pulled tight before the joint is made. When operators try to tension by hand or use a tool that does not grip the strap properly, loads shift during transport. Damaged goods, re-strapping at the dock and time spent chasing loose bundles add up across a shift. A dedicated tensioner for strapping textile strap delivers large tightening force, so the strap grips the load firmly and stays in place during handling and transport.
How this tensioner for strapping works
The XW-20 uses a special structure design to grip the strap and apply tightening force directly, making packaging straightforward. Because the body and components are made from high-strength alloy materials, the tool holds up under heavy loads such as steel, aluminium ingots and heavy packaging.
- Suitable strap types: polyester fibre straps and flexible (composite/corded) straps
- Three width variants: 13–19 mm, 19–25 mm and 25–50 mm
- Weight: 1.12 kg (13–19 mm), 1.18 kg (19–25 mm), 1.76 kg (25–50 mm)
- No battery, no air hose, no cable
Even the widest variant weighs only 1.76 kg, making it easy to carry between stations. The patented design keeps operator fatigue low during repeated use.
Where this strap tensioner fits and where it does not
The XW-20 is used in industries including paper, aluminium, steel, wood and wooden packaging, chemical fibre, cotton, tobacco, chemicals and metal products. It handles irregularly shaped items as well as standard pallets. Manual tensioning gives precise control over how tight each strap sits, which matters when loads vary in size and weight.
This tool is not compatible with plastic (PP/PET) or steel strap. If you need to tension those materials, choose a tensioner designed for that strap type.
What to check before you order a tensioner for strapping
- Strap width: measure the textile or composite strap you use. Pick the 13–19 mm, 19–25 mm or 25–50 mm variant accordingly.
- Strap material: confirm you are using polyester fibre or flexible/composite corded strap. This tool will not work on plastic or metal strap.
- Quantity of tools: if several operators strap at the same time, each one needs a tensioner at the matching width.
