Why choose air strapping tools
When your warehouse or production line already has a compressed-air network, running a strapping tool from the same supply removes battery management from the workflow. There is no pack to charge, no spare to swap and no runtime limit per cycle. You connect the tool to an air outlet, set the working pressure and start strapping. That makes compressed-air tools a practical choice for operations where strapping happens at one or two fixed points rather than across an entire site.
Three models, two strap families
This category contains three air strapping tools. One is built for plastic strap; the other two are built for steel strap.
AIR19: PET and PP strap
The AIR19 tensions, seals and cuts PET and PP strap from 13 to 19 mm wide and 0.5 to 1.2 mm thick. It creates a friction weld seal by vibration welding of the overlapping layers, so no metal fasteners are needed. Maximum tension force is 3500 N. Operating air pressure is 0.5–0.8 MPa. The tool weighs 3.82 kg and measures 280 × 160 × 180 mm. Typical applications include pallets, crates and bundles in warehouse and production operations.
AIR Metal: steel strap combination unit
The AIR Metal combines tensioning, sealing and cutting of steel strap in one body. It is available in two variants and handles heavy or irregularly shaped goods such as steel, timber and brick. The operator uses one device for all three steps.
AIR DUO32: steel strap tensioner and sealer set
The AIR DUO32 is a two-piece pneumatic set for steel strap from 19 to 32 mm wide. It locks each joint with single strapping buckles. It is used on crates, rebar, ingot and steel articles.
How to select the right model
Work through these criteria before ordering:
- Strap material. PET or PP strap requires the AIR19. Steel strap requires the AIR Metal or AIR DUO32.
- Strap width and thickness. The AIR19 accepts 13–19 mm wide strap, 0.5–1.2 mm thick. The AIR DUO32 accepts 19–32 mm wide steel strap. Check these against your coil specifications.
- Tension force. The AIR19 provides up to 3500 N. Refer to the product pages for the steel models.
- Seal method. The AIR19 uses friction welding and needs no consumable fasteners. The AIR DUO32 uses single strapping buckles, which you must stock alongside the strap.
- Single unit or set. The AIR Metal combines all functions in one housing. The AIR DUO32 splits tensioning and sealing into separate devices.
- Weight. The AIR19 weighs 3.82 kg. Refer to the product pages for the steel models.
What else you will need
Every air strapping tool requires a compressed-air supply within its stated pressure range. Beyond the tool itself, you need strap coils in the matching material, width and thickness. For the steel tools, order the correct seals or buckles as well: the AIR DUO32, for example, uses single strapping buckles sized to the steel strap. Confirm that your compressor delivers pressure within the working range of the model you choose before placing an order.
