Strap seals
Strap seals create the mechanical closure that holds tension at every joint in a strapping operation. If the seal does not match the strap material and width, the joint fails and loads shift during transit. Here you find galvanized metal seals for PP strap, high-strength steel clips for manual and pneumatic steel strapping, and wire buckles for composite and textile strap, covering widths from 13 mm to 32 mm.

Strap Seals: Why the Joint Closure Determines Load Security
A strap under tension only holds a load if its two ends remain locked together. The closure at the joint carries the full pull of the strap. When a seal is the wrong size or the wrong type, the ends slip free and the load shifts in transit. Warehouse managers, production staff and shipping teams depend on having the correct strap seals on hand before work begins.
Four Products for Three Strap Materials
This category contains four products. Each one is made for a specific strap material, width range and application method.
- Metal seals for PP strap. PP strap clips (13 and 16 mm) are galvanized steel closures for polypropylene strap. Supplied in boxes of 1000 pieces, they suit manual or tool-assisted application. Suitable for logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and shipping.
- Steel clips for manual application. Banding clips 16×40 mm are high-strength steel closures for 16 mm steel strap. Packed 1000 to a box, they work with standard manual tensioners and sealers without any power source. Used in warehousing, production and construction.
- Steel clips for pneumatic application. Pallet banding clips (16–32 mm) are made from high-strength carbon steel for use with pneumatic tensioners and sealers. They cover steel strap widths of 16, 19, 25 and 32 mm. The joint is formed mechanically with no heat or welding.
- Wire buckles for cord strap. Wire buckles (16–32 mm) are galvanized and suit textile and composite strapping in 16 mm, 19 mm, 25 mm and 32 mm widths. Wire diameter is 3.5 mm for 16 mm strap, 4 mm for 19 mm strap and 5 mm for 25 mm strap. Boxes contain 1000 pieces for 16 mm and 19 mm widths, and 500 pieces for 25 mm.
How to Select the Right Seal or Clip
Three factors determine which product you need.
- Strap material. PP strap takes a metal seal. Steel strap takes a banding clip. Textile or composite cord strap takes a wire buckle. One type cannot substitute for another.
- Strap width. The seal or clip must match the strap width exactly. A closure that is too wide will not grip the strap. One that is too narrow will not close around it.
- Tool type. Steel strap users must distinguish between manual and pneumatic sealers. The 16×40 mm manual clip and the pneumatic range are not interchangeable. For PP strap, the seal is applied by hand or with a manual tool. Wire buckles are for textile and composite strap.
When Strap Seals Are Not Required
Battery and pneumatic tools for PET and PP strap create the joint by friction welding. These tools need no separate closure. If you use a friction-weld tool, you only need the strap coil itself. Strap seals apply only where the joint is formed by mechanical locking under tension.
Planning Your Consumption
Every joint consumes one seal, clip or buckle. Four straps on a pallet means four closures used. Count your daily strapping volume and keep enough boxes on the shelf so production does not stop mid-shift. Always order closures in the same width as your strap coils to prevent a mismatch on the line.
